Herky Green flew with the 325th Fighter Group in North Africa, scoring victories in each of the P-40 Warhawk, P-47 Thunderbolt and P51 Mustang. He flew over 100 missions in command of the 317th Fighter Squadron, and is credited with 18 victories. He died in 2006.

Flying from North Africa, and later Italy, 'Herky' flew P40s, P47s and P51s, scoring victories in all three types. Flying P-47 Thunderbolts with the 56th Fighter Group in England, Bud Mahurin scored more than 20 victories during World War Two. Seen here in his personal aircraft 42-8487 UN-M named <i>The Spirit of Atlantic City</i> owing to it being paid for by bonds from that city, he shot down three Me109s in a day and three Fw190s another day, before eventually being brought down by return fire from a German bomber. Evacuated from France with the help of the Resistance, he then flew P-51 Mustangs against the Japanese in the Philippines, scoring one more victory before again being shot down, bailing into the ocean. He went on to score more victories in the Korean War before being shot down and taken prisoner for more than a year. He was the only pilot of the US Air Force to down enemy aircraft in the European Theater, Pacific Theater and Korean War. He died in 2010.

Tribute to Walker 'Bud' Mahurin by Ivan Berryman. 		Painted with the black and white markings of the D-Day invasion, P-51 Mustang 43-24823 B6-S 'Old Crow' is the personal aircraft of 'Bud' Anderson. He flew two tours with the 363rd Fighter Squadron and is credited with 16.25 victories in 116 missions from February to December 1944. After the war he became a test pilot, flying over 100 different aircraft types before retiring in 1972, often speaking at aviation history events ever since. As of the time of writing in 2023, he is 101 years old and has just been promoted to the honorary rank of Brigadier General.

Tribute to Clarence 'Bud' Anderson by Ivan Berryman. 		On the morning of Sunday 7th December 1941 the Japanese launched their infamous attack on Pearl Harbor. Surprise was complete - within a few terrifying minutes, bombs and torpedoes had damaged or destroyed much of the US Pacific Fleet peacefully at anchor, and almost all of the fighters on the ground. But as Aichi D-3A dive bombers target the Fleet's flagship, the battleship California, a lone P-40 has managed to get airborne in the chaos to engage the enemy. Seventy years ago the world stood open-mouthed in shock as it learnt of the infamous attack on Pearl Harbor. This dramatic new edition is released in tribute to all those that took part in the actions on December 7 1941.
Day of Infamy by Anthony Saunders. 		Lt Hinton Horscroft is depicted getting airborne from Seoul, Korea, in P.51D 369 of the South African Air Force. Lt Horscroft survived the war in Korea and completed 75 missions with No.2 Sqn South African Air Force, known as the 'Flying Cheetahs', before returning safely to his home and family in Durban.
