| Untersharfuhrer Georg Diers *Signature Value : £75 Editions signed : Georg Diers signature edition of 40 prints from the edition of 50 artist proofs. Georg Diers signature edition of 260 prints from the signed limited edition of 1150 prints. | Diers, Georg (Untersharfuhrer Georg Diers) On the 30th April, Untersharfuhrer Georg Diers and his crew of tank 314, were ordered to take up a defensive position at the Reichstag buildings. The crew of tank 314 consisted of commander Georg Diers, gunner Wolf-Dieter Kothe, loader Alex Sommer and radio operator Bodo Harms. This was one of only two remaining King Tigers belonging to Heavy SS Tank Battalion 503 in Berlin. By that evening they had knocked out about 30 T34s, and the following day led a successful counterattack against the Kroll Opera House directly opposite the Reichstag. Their efforts though, merely postponed the inevitable and by the end of the day the order was given to abandon the position and prepare to break out of Berlin. In Georg Diers own written accounts, At the end of April the units strength was 6 Tiger 2s from sSSPzAbt503 were attached to the 11th Waffen SS Panzergrenadier Nordland and by April 30th only 2 of the Konigstigers remained. Georg Diers Tiger and the other of Karl Korner whose kill total was over100 Russian tanks and 29 field pieces. Georg Diers states that on May 1st they successfully counter attacked and temporarily re captured the Kroll Opera House but withdrew at 7pm. Georg Diers is credited with a total of 39 Russian tanks destroyed, plus many others during the last days in the defence of Berlin. During the Russian attacks he was faced with a large number of Russian tanks and Russian infantry had entered and were fighting within the Reichstag. So Georg Diers crew destroyed their Tiger 2 with mines near the Schonhause Alley. Georg Diers certainly would have been awarded for his actions but at such a late stage his heroism went un rewarded. We were very honoured to contact Georg who agreed to sign a small number of art prints. |
  Gerhard Fischer (deceased) Died : 2013 *Signature Value : £65 Editions signed : Gerhard Fischer Knights Cross signature series edition of 20 prints from the signed limited edition of 1150 prints. | Fischer, Gerhard (Gerhard Fischer (deceased)) World War Two Panzer tank Ace with 102 tank victories. Chief of the 8./Panzer-Regiment 2, he took part in the Battle of France, Second Battle of Kharkov, Operation Winter Storm, Dnieper-Carpathian Offensive, First Jassy-Kishinev Offensive, and Operation Spring Awakening. He received the Knights Cross for actions on 28th December 1943. He was also a recipient of the Panzer Badge and German Cross in Gold. Later, a member of the Bundeswehr from 1959 to 1972. Died in 2013. |
  Erwin Kressmann (deceased) Died : 2017 *Signature Value : £55 Editions signed : Erwin Kressmann Knights Cross signature series edition of 20 prints (Nos 21 - 40) from the signed limited edition of 1150 prints. | Kressmann, Erwin (Erwin Kressmann (deceased)) Erwin Kressman fought in the assault on Poland as company commander and Platoon leader. He was also invovled in the Western campaign and was promoted to Staff Sergeant. In June 1941 he was transferred to Russia and saw action in the Demjansk pocket and in May 1942, Kressmann was sent to the Crimea with Panzerjaeger Abt. Kressmann participated in the assault on Sevastopol. He was sent to the northern Russian front - the Battle of Leningrad as well as trench warfare at the Wolchow. In July 1943, Kressmann became the commander of 1st company of the new heavy Panzerjaeger Abteilung 519, From December 13th to February 18th, 1944, Kressmann was part of two Battles of Witebsk under the 3rd Panzerarmee. Kressmann was decorated with the German Cross in Gold for bravery on January 25, 1944. On June 22, 1944 Kressman was involved in the third battle of Witebek, his unit sustaining very heavy casualties. Kressman got the Knight's cross for actions in Schmidt and Kommerscheidt from November 4th to November 7th, 1944. Kressmann also fought in the Battle of the Bulge. At the beginning of May 1945 and after he destroyed two T-34 Russian tanks with T-mines, Kresmmann was severely wounded by mortar. He was able to cross the Elbe river and became a US P.O.W. He died on 19th March 2017. |
  Norbert Kujacinski (deceased) Died : 2009 *Signature Value : £70 Editions signed : Norbert Kujacinski Knights Cross signature series edition of 20 prints (Nos 921 to 940) from the signed limited edition of 1150 prints. | Kujacinski, Norbert (Norbert Kujacinski (deceased)) Born 11th July 1920 in Berlin. Called up to the army in August 1939, he served in the Fench campaign before joining the 23rd Panzer Division on the eastern front. Fighting in the southern area of the eastern front, his unit avoided involvement at Stalingrad, but was used to relieve the forces involved there. His unit had just 20 tanks left by January 1943 - Kujacinski himself had earned the Iron Cross I and II. The rest of the year saw the unit re-equip before fighting at Dnieper towards the end of 1943. At this time, he was awarded the German Cross in Gold. The panzer division broke out of the fighting at Dnieper, reduced by losses to a Kampfgruppe instead of a Division. Towards the latter part of 1944, the unit had considerable success against the Russians in Poland and Hungary - during the attack on Nyiregyhaza in 7 days in October 1944, 600 Russian armoured vehicles were destroyed or captured. It was for his part in this success that Kujacinski was awarded the Knights Cross on 18th November 1944. His unit were still actively fighting in Austria by the time the war ended, and he was taken into US captivity until July 1945. He rejoined the army after the war and retired as an Oberstleutnant. He died on 2nd May 2009. |
 Unteroffizier Dr Franz-Wilhelm Lochmann (deceased) Died : 2015 *Signature Value : £55 Editions signed : Franz-Wilhlem Lochmann Tank Ace signature series edition of 20 prints (Nos 901 - 920) from the signed limited edition of 1150 prints. | Lochmann, Franz-Wilhelm (Unteroffizier Dr Franz-Wilhelm Lochmann (deceased)) Franz-Wilhelm Lochmann joined up in 1941, and trained and served as a tank radio operator and machine gunner in I./503 Heavy Tank Division. He fought in 95 tank engagements and finished the war as a Company Commander. He was awarded the Iron Cross I and II. He died on 1st July 2015. |
