Captain E. N. E. M. Vaughan And His Men drive Back The Enemy From An Isolated Trench.

When in command of an isolated trench and attacked on front, flank and rear, Captain Eugene Napoleon Ernest Mallet Vaughan (Reserve of Officers) Grenadier Guards, drove off the enemy, killing over 100 of them, and took twenty prisoners. His fine example gave great confidence to his men, and he was subsequently awarded the D.S.O. for his conspicuous gallantry.

The Duke of Wellington at the head of the 1st Foot Guards including the Colour Party, Hyde Park, 1829, as they pass King George IV with his staff and the Duke of Orleans while the band of the 2nd Life Guards perform. On the right of the picture is shown a Colonel of the 15th Hussars. Behind the figures can be seen Aspley House, the residence of the Duke of Wellington.

Published by Pompador Gallery in 1987, this print sold out at the publisher over eighteen years ago. Although their condition is not perfect, they are good to the eye. They are very rare items - we have only 20 prints remaining.
